Binche, city of carnival and medieval town
With its belfry listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a carnival recognised as oral and intangible heritage, Binche is unique ! Its ramparts, encircling the remains of the Palace of Mary of Hungary, are the pride of this medieval town. A place of culture, Binche takes the visitor to a wide variety of worlds : folklore at the International Carnival and Mask Museum, a journey into the past at the Gallo-Roman Museum of Waudrez, and finesse at the Centre de la Dentelle et des métiers d’art le Fuseau.
